It’s been a while since we’ve seen Captain Vimes, hasn’t it? I’ll bet he’s getting big. But you have no idea how big. Perhaps we need something for the basis of comparison.

Companion, to me: You look so pretty.

Me: NO I DON’T! I haven’t taken a shower and my hair is all BLEAR and fuzzy!

Companion: I still think you look nice.

Supa: Don’t you hate when they do that? You feel all gross and then you get that from them.

Me: YES.

Supa: But you are pretty.

Me: Thank you.

Companion: Why does she get to say it but I don’t?

Me: She can kick my ass.

  5. I’m not one to take compliments too well either, esp given by people that I don’t really know. I usually come up with something really stupid to say, like, “Okay.” or “Whatever.” Hahaha, so I get it. Coming from a female’s mouth it’s a little easier, but I always find it kind of strange. Dunno why. Anyhow WHATEVER and OKAY! Captain Vimes is adorable and I love him!
